Custom content (CC) consists of cosmetic items such as clothing, furniture, and Create-a-Sim (CAS) fashion. In The Sims 4, there are two different types of downloadable content. This is a guide on how to organize your Mods folder, remove mods when a patch hits, and remove broken CC on Windows (I have only used Windows so if you use another OS, sorry!) If you'd like to add more, just follow the same pattern.Step 2: Create new folders within the Mods folder.This mostly goes for if you have NO folders within the Mods folder yet or have made folders but there's nothing in them. Look up the mod names and find the creators' pages. Then locate the broken items and put as many as you can on one Sim. PART III: BROKEN CCHave you ever put a piece of CC on a sim and their whole body disappears? Maybe they looked like an absolute demon with a question mark on their forehead? Look no further!Step 1: Equip as many broken items on a Sim as you can, remove EVERYTHING else.First, go to Create a Sim and remove EVERYTHING from the sim from EVERY category on EVERY outfit. Sometimes mods don't need an update, but you should always rely on the creator's word before anyone else's. Don't pressure the creators, though! Wait patiently and check if they've posted any status updates. A website and a Patreon), bookmark and check both. You'll see why in the next step.Step 3: Download Sims 4 Tray Importer and close your game.This program is easily found with one google search. If any part of your Sim disappears when you put a piece of CC on, leave it on!Yes, I know, poor Jessica Flapwagons looks like she's just come straight out of the underworld, but save her to your library. Anything that's missing a mesh or causes an error. It's also suggested to test on a new, clean save.*** Here's a handy flowchart to follow as well if needed.Once you've found the CC that's not working check to see if there's an update for it by the mod creator. If you find any problems, delete the mod or custom content file. We suggest starting there.** While you're testing, do not save the game.
